PAY
From £26.40 per hour
Reviewed at regular intervals based upon experience, qualifications, lesson observations and feedback from schools.
We're currently looking for teachers of: violin, guitar and National Curriculum music

What we look for
A music degree or equivalent; Qualified Teacher Status is a plus
Experience teaching children, and good relationships with pupils and staff
Confidence teaching one or more instruments, or curriculum music
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply): every Musical Mates Ltd teacher holds one
Self-employed status: you invoice us monthly and manage your own tax
Your own public liability insurance of at least £2 million, often included with Musicians' Union membership
Registration with the DBS Update Service (£15 a year)
Safeguarding and allergy awareness training every year, with certificates sent to us
Following the Teachers' Standards, and business-use car insurance if you drive between schools
